Visiting has been temporarily paused at all Kerry Community Healthcare hospitals and nursing units – due to COVID-19.
The HSE said they wish to thank the public for their ongoing support as all parts of the health services respond to the crisis.
‘Taking into consideration public health guidance and the increasing number of confirmed cases of COVID-19, we had to make the difficult decision that no visiting can be allowed to community hospitals and community nursing units i.e. residential services for older people’, the HSE said.
‘This is a temporary measure and will be kept under constant review. Families can contact the manager of each unit if they have concerns’.
The HSE added that they will work to make sure that residents keep in contact with their loved ones by other means.
