A group from the Killarney Town Twinning and Sister City Association are in Scottsdale, Arizona in an effort to promote golf tourism between the two towns.

The delegation is being led by Michael O’Donoghue, of the O’Donoghue-Ring Group, and the Killarney visitors met Mayor of Scottsdale, Jim Lane.

A group from Scottsdale are due to visit Killarney in August and it is hoped that the two groups will set up a student golf tournament and exchange programme between the two towns.

“The Killarney team in Scottsdale will, no doubt, do a top class job promoting our town,” said Sean Counihan, Chairman of the  Killarney Town Twinning  and Sister City Association. “The group will exchange views on how our associations can blossom in the area of education, commerce and tourism, especially golf tourism.”
