On Sunday, October 27 next, be very afraid as a wide array of ghouls, goblins, ghosts, witches, wacky wonders and weirdos descend in strange spooky swarms upon the Killarney Outlet Centre. Is it a zombie takeover? No, it’s their annual Halloween Fancy Dress Parade with fantastic prizes and free fun activities for the whole family!
The event takes place from 2–6pm and lucky winners of the Fancy Dress Parade will receive a boy’s Flicker A3 air scooter for the Best Dressed Boy and a girl’s Flicker A3 air scooter for the Best Dressed Girl, both sponsored by World of Wonder. The Best Dressed Family in association with Select Hotels of Ireland will win a fabulous family break in The Celtic Ross Hotel Rosscarberry with two nights B&B and one dinner for two adults and two kids under 12, sponsored by Select Hotels Ireland and The Celtic Ross Hotel. The Best Dressed Adult will collect a Family Pass for Killarney Ghost Tours. All entrants are asked to please donate €1 in support of Killarney Rotary Club’s campaign to ‘End Polio Now’.
“Our panel of judges are looking forward to seeing some more fantastic and unusual costumes this year,” Paul Sherry, Manager, Killarney Outlet Centre, said.
“Every child will be given a goodie bag, and there’s even a treat in store for parents, as everyone who comes along to the party will receive a voucher from Select Hotels of Ireland offering a free second night’s stay when you book one night away at any Select Hotel nationwide.”
On the day there’ll be bouncy castles with A Time to Party, free Halloween face painting to put the finishing touch to your outfit or get creative at the free Halloween Ugly Noses workshops. There will be free children’s entertainment with spooky storytelling sessions on board The Killarney Ghost Bus which will be parked outside the centre adjacent to the Bus Station. Punch and Judy puppet shows in the Yurt from 2-4pm and watch out for the now famous Magic Shows with Tony Wonder. The Brickx Club Lego Workshops will also be in attendance and Killarney Candle Makers will also be on hand to help you create a personalised candle – a small materials charge applies.
Ireland’s premier Outlet Centre hosts a bespoke Arts,
Crafts and Food Fair on the ground floor on Saturday October 26 and Sunday 27.
Paul added that he can’t wait for the mayhem and madness to kick off.
“Halloween is a great time for the kids to be kids and I know families are really looking forward to our Fancy Dress Party and all the free fun activities, to which all are welcome!”
