Not only do they have exceptional customer experience but one local shop won an overall ‘Store of the Year’ award.
Sheahan’s Muckross Road Service Station took home the prize for ‘Excellence in Customer Experience’ as well as overall ‘Store of the Year’ at the Maxol 2018 Excellence Awards.
The annual awards scheme, now in its 22nd year, promotes and rewards Excellence in Retail Standards, Customer Experience, and Community Engagement across Maxol’s network of service stations in Ireland.
The awards were presented at a company-wide special celebration in Porto, Portugal.
“I am very proud of the whole team who work very hard to make sure every single customer who passes through has the best possible experience,” Aisling Sheahan, licensee of Sheahan’s Muckross Road, who collected the award on the night, said.
“It’s really great to have our efforts recognised and to also take home the overall prize of ‘Store of the Year’, really is the icing on the cake.”
The retailers are assessed through a combination of detailed site inspections by Maxol management, external inspections, fundraising activities for Maxol’s nominated charity AWARE, and mystery shopper visits to observe and assess the quality of service offered to the customer.
