His magic bag is almost packed and the big man in red is ready to fly around the world to deliver presents to millions of children – and he has this week confirmed that Killarney will be one of his stops.
This week editor of the Killarney Advertiser Michelle Crean made a very special phone call to the North Pole to check if Santa Claus is ready to go – and he confirmed that he is!
Santa was in great form and said that all the toys are made by his team of creative elves and that the reindeer – including the very special Rudolf – are doing the final checks today.
However, he has asked us to let the boys and girls know that they have to be in bed extra early and be good for the next few days.
And he told us that a naughty little elf last year created some trouble in peoples’ homes.
“Last year I got lots of complaints from parents when I got home that large quantities of cereal was spilled in kitchens,” he said.
“But it turned out to the Merry Twinkles, the chief navigating elf that travels with me on Christmas night. She loves all the cereals that boys and girls have for breakfast every morning. I have spoken to Merry Twinkles not to do this this year. So if you see cereal spilled on the ground let me know by sending photographic evidence to email@example.com and Michelle will let me know. Happy Christmas and I hope you enjoy all the presents.”
