As Kerry County Council embarks on the first phase of the preparation of the new Kerry County Development Plan, members of the public are invited to join a free online information session on the plan this Thursday.


Michael Scannell, Director of Economic and Community Development and Damien Ginty, Acting Senior Planner with Kerry County Council, will give a presentation on the current phase of the drawing up the new plan which will cover the period 2022 to 2028.


The new County Development Plan will set out the policy framework and a core strategy within which development around the county is promoted and regulated over the six-year period of the plan. It will progress through a number of stages before being presented to the elected members of Kerry County Council for consideration and adoption.


The first part of the process is public consultation on a high-level Issues Paper which deals with the broad principles involved in the new County Development Plan. The paper is now available to download from the dedicated County Development Plan website,
