Exploring the sensory connection between body and mind through the lens of a camera is the focus of a new photographic exhibition in Killarney.
Members of the Kerry Parents and Friends Community Programme mindfulness group, in collaboration with Leaving Certificate students from Killarney Community College will launch their photographic exhibition on ‘Mindfulness through the Senses’ at Killarney Library on Tuesday next, at 2pm. The exhibition will be open for viewing from April 29 until Friday, May 10.
“This project explored the sensory connection of body and mind in relation to the world around us through the lens of a camera,” Anthony Jones, a member of the community programme,said.
“It also facilitated community integration and partnership resulting in all participants experiencing a connection and a wider perspective through the medium of photography. We would like to thank all involved, especially Kerry ETB who supported this project and the students, both from Killarney Community College and Kerry Parents and Friends, for their openness and enthusiasm.”
