Sweet offerings are to be greatly enhanced at The Lake Hotel with the addition of a new pastry chef.

Last week The Lake Hotel announced the appointment of their new Head Pastry Chef, Dinesh Mauree, an esteemed pastry chef and an accomplished chocolatier with 20 years experience in the culinary world.

A native of Mauritius, having learned his craft in his home country, Dinesh relocated to Ireland 15 years ago. His career path has been filled with prestigious, fine dining establishments. He most recently worked at the five star Killarney Park Hotel and prior to this he worked for the Ely Restaurant Group and Shanahan’s on the Green in Dublin.

Dinesh completed his chocolatier training in Paris and has created his own signature chocolate using Cacao Barry, a brand he has worked with for over 12 years. Dinesh was welcomed by award winning Executive Chef Noel Enright.

“We are delighted to have Dinesh on board, he will be a wonderful asset to the team,” Noel said.

Dinesh’s experience will bring a fresh approach to The Lake Hotel, reinventing our dessert, pastry and afternoon tea offering and really amplifying the sweet section of our menus which will enhance the overall dining experience.”

The Lake Hotel is a multi-award winning property, voted number six hotel in Ireland in the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice awards in August, and featured as the number two Irish hotel in the Romance category.

The four star establishment also received an outstanding five accolades at the Irish Hotel Awards this year.
