ENJOYING A DAY OUT: Jamie Mannix, Michael Leslie and Liam Fleming enjoying the Killarney Valley Classic and Vintage Club annual April Charity Car and Tractor Run on Sunday.
On Sunday, vintage motoring enthusiasts came together for the annual Killarney Valley Classic and Vintage Club (KVCVC) April Charity Car and Tractor Run.
Registration took place at the Faha Court Bar and Restaurant and participants enjoyed some beautiful views across the county, including Minard Castle, Inch Beach, Farmers Bridge and Aghadoe throughout the day.
“The car run left at 11.30am and travelled to Minard Castle which has beautiful views across the sea with a coffee stop at the South Pole Inn,” Tom Leslie PRO of KVCVC told the Killarney Advertiser.
“We travelled in convoy to Farmers Bridge with a stop at the Gordon Bennett road trails monument and then onto Aghadoe viewing point in Killarney, and back to Faha Court where Sean had refreshments waiting for us.”
The tractor run was led away at 1.30pm by John Courtney driving a beautiful Ford 2600 tractor which will actually be raffled later this year by the club, he added.
“Our first stop was the fantastic Kerry Woollen Mills where we received a tour and demonstration which we highly recommend. The group then travelled onto Listry Creamery for a tea stop and also an enjoyable tour and travelled back to Faha Court for refreshments.”
All finished up back at the Faha Court for refreshments at 4.30pm, he added.
“It was a very enjoyable day out for club members. We are looking forward to our next outing. We’re always looking for new members to come along and take part.”
