Killarney Rotary Club launched its annual ‘Evening of Wine and Art’ recently – which will support a number of local charities.
The 15th annual event will take place in The Malton Hotel on Thursday, November 29.
Representatives of the charities and clubs, who are the beneficiaries of this annual event, were present at the launch.
“The event is held in association with Daly’s SuperValu without whom we could not hold it every year,” Simon Lumby, Killarney Rotary President, said.
“We are also delighted to have the support of Killarney Brewing with a range of their beers and they will have some exciting new products coming on stream soon.” He added that Killarney Rotary Club appreciate the help and support of these two businesses who contribute so much to this event.
Killarney Rotary Club first organised the hugely successful and popular Evening of Wine and Art in 2003 and it is now regarded as one of the best nights out on the Kerry social calendar.
On the night expect the chance to purchase local art as well as locally produced crafts. Live musical entertainment on the night will be by Mike Neeson.
If you’re a wine buff you will be spoilt for choice with the huge number of the best wine and beer labels around.
“Another highlight of the night is the exciting charity auction of artwork.
“The raffle, always eagerly anticipated, is to be co-ordinated by the Irish Pilgrimage Trust who bring young people with special needs on pilgrimage and holidays to Lourdes.
The proceeds of the cloakroom will support the Kerry Stars Special Olympics Club.
Tickets cost €20 and are available through the following groups who are the beneficiaries – Beaufort Youth Club, Coolick National School, Gaelscoil Faithleann, Killarney Swimming Club, Killarney Athletic, The Micro Track and The Stephen Lyne Foundation.
