The manager of The Lir Cafe in Killarney Alan Oliver is partnering up with Frank Murphy the CEO of Monex to host their annual charitable coffee morning at The Lir Café.

And all are welcome to come along and support the event on Thursday, March 7, from 10am until 2pm. There will be tea, coffee and refreshments including a miniature buffet free of charge and people can make a donation to charity.

This year they will be supporting Down Syndrome Kerry in raising some much-needed funds to assist people in Kerry with the condition.

“Frank and his company Monex have been so generous to match whatever amount we raise for Down Syndrome Kerry,” Alan told The Killarney Advertiser this week.

Madeleine Doyle, PRO with Down Syndrome Kerry said this week that they are delighted to have been chosen as the charity this year.

“The charity is not government funded so events like this raise much needed funds to help people with Down Syndrome by providing them with speech therapy classes and occupational therapy classes,” she told the Killarney Advertiser.
