Legion GAA Club this week launched their annual golf classic, which will take place next month.

Friday, May 3 is the date to put in your diary for the charity event, which will take place at the Killarney Golf and Fishing Club.

The aim of the fundraiser is to raise money to help improve the club’s facilities for the community to use, Enda Walshe from Legion explained.

“The club is conscious of the need to constantly improve our facilities and also to help continue to offer the community a healthy and character building alternative,” Enda said.

“With over 16 teams, including boys and girls, the upkeep of the pitches and training areas is a challenge and it is vitally important to give our members the best possible coaching and training.

“To this end, our annual gold classic is a vital fundraiser for our club. It also gives the participants an ideal opportunity to play one of Ireland finest courses.”
