A social distancing compliant drive-in movie theatre – the first of its kind in Kerry – will feature five blockbuster movies in Killarney tonight (Friday) and tomorrow night (Saturday).

Wicklow-based company, named Retro Drive-In Movies, who already provide a similar service at Leopardstown Racecourse and Fairyhouse Racecourse, will set up at the INEC car park.

The first screening, ‘The Greatest Showman’, will take place at 6pm tonight and will be followed by ‘The Joker’ at 9pm.

Saturday’s triple-bill includes a matinee at 12 noon, ‘How to Train your Dragon’, and will be followed by ‘Mrs Doubtfire’ at 3pm and ‘A Star is Born’ at 6pm.

Organisers have put in place a range of measures to meet social distancing requirements, however each show is limited to 100 cars which will have to park 1.5 metres apart. Tickets are only available online or by contactless credit card machines.
