Elite Event Management, the team behind Ring of Beara Cycle Kenmare, Quest Killarney, Quest Kenmare and Run Killarney have launched an innovative new product to keep small businesses in Kerry smiling during these difficult times.
This exciting social project is a gift box full of produce and crafts sourced in Kerry, packaged together beautifully and ready to order and ship to anywhere in the world.
The Kerry based company are usually organising sports events across the country but due to COVID-19 restrictions their business has been stopped in its tracks.
“Our business went from thriving and optimistic to free fall, seemingly overnight,” owner Oliver Kirwan said.
“Our normal work takes place in the world of sport events such as the Ring of Beara Cycle Kenmare, Quest Kenmare, Quest Killarney and Run Killarney. We brought our team together and came upon the idea of ‘Box of Smiles’. It gives us great satisfaction that we can now work on a project that helps our own company survive through this crisis but also help other small businesses in Killarney and Kenmare such as Killarney Chocolate, Felicia Thomas Artist, Suchness Jewellery, Baborsbeans Coffee, Norman McCloskey Photography, Kenmare Soap amongst others. Each box is filled with high quality products sourced from local small businesses including coffee roasters and bakers, creatives and artisans, tea connoisseurs and candle creators. ‘Box of Smiles’ is also a wonderful way for people to keep in touch with Irish creativity in their locality, gift a loved one or express gratitude to an employee.”
‘Box of Smiles’ have seven gift boxes available to purchase online including Keep Kenmare Smiling, Keep Killarney Smiling, Keep West Cork Smiling, Keep Cork City Smiling, Keep Dublin Smiling, Keep Galway Smiling and Keep Ireland Smiling. Every box purchased will help small local businesses throughout the country maintain a revenue stream in the challenging environment they have abruptly found themselves in.
It is also an uncertain time for organisations and their employees with possible indefinite remote working and changes in routine and structure. ‘Box of Smiles’ are also available as branded employee care packages and are a meaningful way of maintaining links between employers and their teams whilst showing appreciation for their resolve and dedication.
