Banking staff rallied together to help raise funds for Crumlin Children’s Hospital and raised a staggering €10k.
Over the past number of months staff in AIB Kerry, Limerick and Clare came together for the worthy cause to support a colleague, who has a child undergoing treatment in Crumlin.
Together they raised €5,000 with a further €5,000 matched by AIB CEO Colin Hunt.
“Everybody is aware of the amazing work done in Crumlin so we were delighted to do our bit to support such a worthy cause,” Colm Cooper, Assistant Manager of the AIB Killarney branch, told the Killarney Advertiser.
“Our staff engaged in various activities including coffee mornings in our branches, wellness events, sponsored walks and raffles.
“In addition to this we were very appreciative of the support from our customers who made generous donations and sponsored and supported our various fund raising initiatives.”
He added that they were thrilled to be joined by AIB CEO Colin Hunt for the presentation last Friday.
“Colin congratulated everybody on the fundraising efforts for such a worthy cause and very kindly committed to AIB matching the amount raised. This brought the total funds donated to Crumlin Children’s Hospital on the day to €10,000.”
