Kerry Airport is to get an additional €1.3m in Government funding towards operating expenses.
This is in addition to the previous €2m that was announced earlier this year by Minister Griffin. This first lot of funding is earmarked for capital works.
“The €1.3m being announced is just part of the overall package of supports that reinforces the Government’s commitment to Kerry Airport and the rural region,” said Griffin. “I continue to work closely with Kerry Airport, the airlines and all relevant partners in relation to retaining and strengthening existing routes and delivering new ones.”
The Government also provides €7.252m for operating the two PSO services between Dublin and Kerry and Dublin and Donegal.
