HOT on the heels of his success on Britain’s Got Talent, David Geaney returned to make a number of special guest appearances in Celtic Steps: The Show this week.
Earlier this week we reported on Celtic Steps’ top-class outdoor shows, which unfolded under the stars at Killarney Race Course to celebrate the summer solstice and in which David performed.
Rapturous applause greeted the appearance of the five-times world champion Irish dancer who recently reached the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent where he captivated audience and judges alike.
David, 22, said: “Being on Britain’s Got Talent has been an extraordinary experience and I’m grateful for the platform it’s given me to share my own take on the art of Irish dance with a wider audience. “It’s always special to come home to Kerry and I’m looking forward to my guest appearances in Celtic Steps in the few weeks ahead.”
David Rea of Celtic Steps said: “It’s been really exciting to watch David’s journey on BGT and see him fly the flag for Irish dancing and for Kerry.”
Celtic Steps: The Show, now in its sixth season, tells the story of Ireland’s cultural history through its love of traditional music, song and dance. The show is currently running six nights a week, Sunday to Friday, at the Killarney Racecourse on Ross Road, from 8.30pm.
