National League Division 1
Scotts Lakers 85
Limerick IT 76
Scotts Lakers continued their winning run at Killarney Sports Centre on Sunday afternoon with a nine-point victory over Limerick IT.
It was a match that the home side were cruising through for long periods and they led by 29 points at one stage. The visitors managed to shave off 20 points from that deficit, however, and the deficit was single digits in the end.
The Lakers were firing on all cylinders in the opening two quarters, scoring 56 first-half points. Their performance dipped considerably in the second half but the victory never really looked in doubt and the Killarney side now have a 7-2 winning record in the league.
They remain in second place in the southern conference.
