A fundraising art exhibition in aid of the Jack and Jill Foundation will be held in the Dunloe Hotel next week.
Artist and mother of two, Julija Saler (38), will hold an art exhibition on Friday, June 28 from 8-11pm.
Julija, who has lived in Killarney for the last few years, wanted to organise a fundraiser before she and her family depart for their native Austria next month.
“I’ve done over 200 pieces and will have 30 at the exhibition,” Julija told the Killarney Advertiser.
“We have been living for three and a half years in Killarney but are leaving soon as my husband works in Liebherr. My children are in Fossa school and we will miss it.”
She said she chose the Jack and Jill Foundation as her charity of choice, as a child in her son’s class is a wheelchair user and his family have used the service.
And 20 percent of each painting sold will go to the charity.
“There’s a lot of kids in Fossa with special needs and it’s also very important to support the parents.”
Tickets into the exhibition are €25 and on the night there’ll be free entry into the prize draw for an original abstract piece of art.
