Autumn nature event in National Park this weekend

Killarney House and Gardens and Killarney National Park Education Centreis holding a free two day event with informative talks and activities called ‘Knowing Nature in Autumn’ on Saturday and Sunday.
Both days will bring together various groups from around Kerry who will offer a variety of talks and activities. The talks will focus on the rich natural heritage of Kerry, highlighting the work being done in the locality and the activities will demonstrate a practical element to conservation, all aiming to foster an appreciation of the natural world around us.
Talks from groups include KerryLIFE, Institute Technology Tralee, Killarney National Park Rangers, and KNPEC and a diverse range of activities are arranged for the two days.
Visitors will learn how to save seeds from pollinator plants and trees and to identify wildflowers with the Kerry Branch of the Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland, examine moth traps, take part in mammal trapping demonstrations and go on a nocturnal ramble.
