THANK YOU FROM KENYA EDUCATION PROJECT
THE organiser of the recent table quiz in aid of the Kenya Education Project, Eddie Sheehy, has thanked all those who supported the event. Eddie, a teacher and guidance counsellor at St Brigid’s Presentation Secondary School, Killarney, travels to Kenya this summer on his 10th mission of mercy. A table quiz he organised in recent weeks at the Castlerosse Hotel helped raise much-needed funds for the young people who benefit from the project. “I would like to thank everybody especially all the business people in the town who donated spot prizes for the quiz, which was a huge success with 51 tables,” said Eddie. Eddie will travel to Kenya on June 24 with his son Eamonn and his daughter Triona and two other local primary schoolteachers, Michael Finnegan from Muckross and Louise Doyle from Whitebridge. |
